Doomed Scholar Studios (DSS) is my effort to Make Entertainment Great Again. I am a published author, coauthor of the books that The Last Survivors: FORGOTTEN SON is based on, and includes such titles as Codename: WINTERBORN and Codename: UNSUB. It is my firm belief that we can make entertainment, well, entertaining again. I see the reduction of the quality in what’s being presented to us as “Entertainment” and I’ve a desire to (and some of the ability) turn that trend.
I currently make my home with my wife and our cats on Long Island, N.Y. I am a 5th Dan Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do and instruct under Gr. Master Su Hyun Park.

Declan Finn
As penance for his sins, Declan Finn spent over 40 years in New York City. He has since made his escape from New York to Texas.
Finn is known for being annoyingly Catholic, his action sequences, and writing faster than most readers can keep up with. In less than a decade, he has written over 30 novels, and is waiting for all of them to be published. He’s been part of multiple anthologies, and will write for anyone.
He is the author of books ranging from thrillers to urban fantasy to SciFi, including the Dragon Award Nominated Novel for Best horror in 2016, Honor at Stake, and the 2017 follow-up, Live and Let Bite. He was also nominated for “Best Apocalypse” novel at the Dragons in 2017. He also won the book of the year award with his novel Hell Spawn from CLFA. He is the Co-author of Codename: WINTERBORN and Codename: UNSUB.
Julian Thomson
He was born the son of a farmer in the middle of Louisiana… And then it went from there. Done many things over the years, including farmer, cattleman, hot-shot truck driver, photographer, and Teacher. Right now? He’s working at being an Author. He’s a published author with one story in a fairly prominent Anthology, working on more stories over time. When he’s not off writing, he’s a general snarktastic individual on Facebook and MeWe, running several groups over on those sites.
Frank Earl
Jack of All Trades, master of many. I was born in T-Town (That’d be Tulsa, Oklahoma…) back in what seems forever ago now. Much like Julian, I’ve done all sorts of things over the years. Writing Science Fiction (Unpublished…). One of the people to basically kick-start the entire Embedded Linux thing. One of the people that brought computer games to Linux. (I was one of the twenty some-odd indie developers involved with the Humble Indie Bundle #2…). Novice Horseman. And much, much more. Why am I here? Well…I’m the technical advice for the rest…which hints at and implies more than one’d think.
